The idea of these activities is twofold.
Firstly, I hope that children will find them fun to do and motivate them to practice more often and repeat exercises and pieces to develop their skills.
Secondly, I hope that parents, within today’s pressures and life challenges, will be able to spend some fun, quality time with their children both making and using the materials, reinforcing their positive relationships and bonds.
At present some of the activities (Book One Review Wheel and Book Two Review House) are designed mainly for young Suzuki violinists, as they use the repertoire from the early Suzuki books but preparation exercises such as ’I’m a Little Monkey’ and also the Stepping Stones game for older students can be used by any violin student. Also any student learning pieces such as ’Twinkle’ ; ’Lightly Row’ and ’Song of the Wind’, will find those specific games useful too.
